Centre to Launch BSC Vocational Engineering

New Delhi: To improve the students employability, the Centre has decided to launch the Bsc(vocational engineering) Course from next academic year. Minister for Human resource Development Kapil Sibal On Friday Said that National vocational Education Qualifications.

Framework (NVEQF) would be finalized soon. To a question during the hour in Rajya Sabha,Sibal said.” Industry would prepare the Syllabus and then introduce it in the school system and polytechnics or engineering colleges easily find jobs.” Referring to his interaction with the automobile industry,Sibal said that the CBSC system would have Class Xii (academic) and Class Xii(Vocational) so that the child can decide as to which area he wanted to opt, at any given point in time, in Class Xi and Xii .

Pointing out that there are about 150 Courses in automobile engineering, the minister said that any student can choose any particular line an he can get himself absorbed in to the sector. He said that consultations were held with different sectors of industry. Replying to a Supplementary Question, Sibal Said,” We must not be dismayed by reports on Employability of engineers carried out by multi-nationals with reference to the It sector.

       HRD MINISTER KAPIL SIBAL ON FRIDAY SAID THAT NATIONAL VOCATIONAL EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS FRAMEWORK WOULD BE FINILISED SOON.
