Hyderabad/Karimnagar: In a novel initiative, Rajiv Vidya Mission (RVM) has introduced spoken English classes for Telugu medium girl students in urban schools in Karimnagar district.
The RVM officials prepared a special module for the crash course. Spoken English is being taught in 35 government girls high schools. The initiative, which was introduced on Monday, would be taken up for 60 days.
RVM project officer Ganga Reddy said the spoken English programme was launched simultaneously in the 35 girls high-schools. District collector Smitha Sabharwal said the crash course was introduced to improve English speaking communication skills of the girls.
In neighbouring Warangal district, RVM is conducting residential bridge courses (RBCs) for those belonging to the Gothikoya tribe, who have migrated from neighbouring Chattisgarh.
